I'm in Pittsburgh, PA, on paternity leave with my newborn daughter. That's the main thing.
Around the edges, I'm:
- Thinking a lot about AI — what it's doing to coding, to engineering leadership, and to the shape of the next few years of my career.
- Poking slowly at two side projects: Work Context Protocol (an open-source protocol + hosted service for AI-agent work continuity) and Show Notes (an AI podcast summarizer).
- Rebuilding this site, which had been collecting dust for a few years.
The day job resumes in early June. Until then I'm trying to be present and not too ambitious.
