I'm Dave Paola. I live in Verona, PA, just outside Pittsburgh.
I'm currently VP of Engineering at Digital Onboarding, where we build a digital adoption platform for financial institutions.
Before that, I was CTO at OrangeQC for two and a half years (Aug 2023 – Mar 2026), leading a turnaround across web, iOS, and Android.
From 2012 to 2017, I cofounded and was CTO of Bloc, the first online coding bootcamp. We scaled to 110 employees, 37 in my org, and were acquired by Thinkful.
I studied Computer Science at UIUC, spent fifteen years in California, and have been building web applications since 2004.
On the side I work on a few things: Work Context Protocol (open-source + a hosted service), Show Notes (AI podcast summarizer), and a handful of iOS apps. The full list lives on /portfolio.
